Paul and I go back many years and plenty of miles to when we were both young in New York and our fathers were both in the plumbing-and-heating supply business. Growing up in this business is a fine way to get to know what works and what doesn't work because you're exposed to so many smart (and not so smart) people. Paul learned his hydronics in a place where hot-water heating began. He cut his teeth on steam and those early hot-water systems that make most pros around the country scratch their heads. He took his hard-won hydronic Liberal Arts education and added to it a Masters Degree in radiant heating. Paul was there at the start of the modern radiant era. He helped mold the industry by his writings and talks to trade groups. He has always made more sense than most and I have learned so much from him. ART renovated our heating system in N. Ballard in 2005. We installed a new Viessmann boiler system with radiant heating and wall panel radiators.
